Our Impact

Walls of Love is dedicated to helping the homeless and those facing poverty in our local community. Sadly, thousands of our neighbors are struggling. The statistics are staggering:

  • The Cleveland Public Schools saw 2,744 homeless students in 2017.

  • There are 23,000 people, around 10 percent of those living in poverty who experience homelessness every year in Cuyahoga county alone.

  • According to The Center for Community Solutions, 36.2% of the population of Cleveland lives in poverty and 18.2 are in abject poverty (household income less than 50% of the poverty rate).

Through partnerships within the local community, schools and volunteers, Holly is determined to help individuals have the basic necessities. Once homeless herself, Holly understands the unnecessary shame that comes with asking for help. By placing items from toiletries to winter gear on walls within regions of poverty, Walls of Love has been able to help:

  • Educate and involve over 1500 children in creating walls, teaching them the importance of empathy and compassion towards the homeless.

  • Impact over 2300+ neighborhoods with high poverty and homelessness rates.

  • Aid over 1,000,000 individuals facing poverty and homelessness with basic necessities and winter gear.
